Tales to Inspire Author Flying High

Krishnan Patel, a recipient of a Masood Entrepreneurship Centre Flying Starter award, has now released an inspirational motivational book.

The Tales to Inspire book features twenty-three beautiful, powerful, real-life stories to remind you – even when the world feels hopelessly dark – that there is no mountain too tall.

Krishnan left his role in the Humanitarian and Conflict Response Institute (HCRI) here at the University earlier last year to focus solely on developing his vision for making a positive difference, founding Tales to Inspire, a platform that shares people's real-life inspirational stories. New tales are released each week from individuals that have made a difference and overcome challenges with the sole purpose of inspiring and motivating others.

Krishnan is determined to make a difference in this world, believing that we all have this unlimited potential to overcome all of life’s difficulties. His message: “Every single person has an inspirational tale to tell, you just have to dig a little for it to come to the surface.”

Flying Starter fund

The Flying Starter fund is a grant of up to £2000 from the Masood Entrepreneurship Centre for staff at The University of Manchester to explore an early stage start-up business idea.

Awardees are able to test their entrepreneurial idea, find out if the idea is viable, learn more about what is needed to progress the idea and even create a prototype product.

In addition to the funding, the Masood Entrepreneurship Centre also offers entrepreneurial support through informative workshops, to hone and shape the business cases, together with a range of mentoring opportunities to ensure the enterprises continue to flourish.

The funding opportunity is open on a monthly rolling basis, so contact entrepreneurship@manchester.ac.uk today to request an application form.
